UMJ Faculty of Nursing Holds Training for Nursing Profession Graduates

  The Faculty of Nursing  University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta (FIK UMJ ) held an online training for Nursing Profession Graduates, on Friday (13/10/2023). The training is part of the Nurse Professional Oath Taking series to prepare graduates to enter the world of profession and work as a comprehensive provision of knowledge and skills.


Dean of FIK UMJ Miciko Umeda, S.Kp., M.Biomed., in his speech emphasized that the role of nurse graduates is to provide quality health services and be responsible in improving the quality of patient care and community welfare.

This graduate briefing activity presented five presenters, namely M. Jamaluddin Ahmad, S.Psi., Psychologist., Giri Widakdo, MKM, Ns. Fenty Efendi, S.Kep., M.Kep, Akhir Fahruddin, RN., MPH, and Deputy Dean I FIK Dr. Yani Sofiani, M.Kep., Sp.KMB.

The presenters provide in-depth insight into various aspects relevant to the nursing profession and preparation for careers in the world of health. M. Jamaluddin Ahmad, S.Psi., Psychologist, an expert who is also active as Chair of the PP Muhammadiyah Branch and Branch Development Institute , emphasized that prospective nurses should be imbued with Islamic values ​​and ethics. According to him, this can be a solid guide in carrying out the nursing profession.

Giri Widakdo, MKM, who also serves as Chair of the PPNI FIK UMJ DPK, presented material related to the regulatory system and Registration Certificates. Apart from the importance of STR in the world of nursing, participants were given an understanding of the role of nurse graduates. Giri emphasized that nurses can play an active role in the system, comply with applicable regulations and standards, and contribute positively to maintaining and improving nursing practice standards in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Ms. Fenty Efendi, S.Kep., M.Kep, gave practical views to the participants regarding career planning and strategies in the world of nursing. The strategies shared include important steps in identifying opportunities, overcoming obstacles, and building a strong foundation for success in the world of healthcare.

The prospective nurses also listened to the experiences of FIK UMJ alumni, namely Akhir Fahruddin, RN., MPH. Akhir not only motivated, but also provided inspiration to the participants. Through her personal journey, she provides valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities in the world of nursing.

Dr. Yani Sofiani, M.Kep., Sp.KMB., Deputy Dean 1 FIK UMJ carefully explained the importance of continuous reflection and evaluation of the nursing education process and invited the briefing participants to understand their role in maintaining high educational standards and continue to strive to improve them. for the good of the nursing profession.

The activities that took place throughout the day were very lively with high enthusiasm from the participants. The nursing alumni actively asked questions and discussed with the presenters, seeking advice and guidance to start their careers successfully in the world of nursing.
